About The Directory

About the Directory: Southern California-based school assembly performers, Wayne & Karen Brown / The Ocean Adventure, have been performing at schools nationwide for over 25 years. Fifteen years ago, to help promote quality school assembly programs, we began publishing The School Assembly Directory for Southern California schools. This publication is sent free, at the start of each school year, to all Southern California elementary and intermediate schools, both public and private. This publication is widely used by school assembly coordinators in choosing programs throughout the school year. Within a couple years we added an additional Northern/Central California edition of The School Assembly Directory. With more and more schools using the Internet, we added the online Directory to provide a resource on the Internet for school assembly programs. In this online Directory we have combined all the performers from both Directories in one place.

The Performances: All performances listed are appropriate for TK-8 school students (unless otherwise noted on the performer's information page). Performers listed provide programs for schools in Southern California and/or Northern/Central California. Most performers are based in Southern California, but some are located across the U.S. as well. If you are interested in booking performers for programs outside California, contact the performers for information on their availablities.

How Performers Can be Listed with "The School Assembly Directory": All performers who appear in "The School Assembly Directories" are listed free on this web site. There is a fee to appear in these annual publications. If you are a performer who offers quality school assemblies and would like to be included in The Directory, contact us for additional information and an application.
